Telepsychiatry: Online Psychiatric Care Across Maryland
Telepsychiatry is secure video care from wherever you are in Maryland. The clinical quality matches an in-person visit, the same evaluation, the same medication management, the same relationship with your clinician.

Insurance plans we accept

We offer telepsychiatry as an alternative for patients and families who face barriers to in-person care, work demands, school schedules, special needs, no means of transportation, or living a long distance from our Waldorf, MD office. The aim is straightforward: to reach people who need help but would otherwise go without it.
Telepsychiatry is not a lesser version of care. Visits use a HIPAA-compliant video platform that runs in any modern browser, with no app to install, and they carry the same depth as an in-person appointment. A comprehensive evaluation runs 60 to 90 minutes; medication follow-ups run 20 to 30. Across Maryland, the standard does not change with the medium.
It is a good fit if you live far from the office, have mobility or transportation barriers, need flexibility around work, or simply prefer being at home. Evening telehealth slots are available from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm daily, so work or school schedules are not a barrier to starting care. It is not right for every situation, and we will say so. When a case calls for in-person assessment or a hybrid of remote and office visits, we will say so up front rather than stretch telehealth past where it works.
What to expect.
Book a visit
Call 301-710-4218 or use the contact page to schedule. We confirm your insurance and send the details you need before the appointment.
Join securely
At your appointment time, you open a link in any modern browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. The platform is HIPAA-compliant, and there is no app to install.
Meet your clinician
Your visit runs like an in-person appointment, evaluation, medication management, or therapy, at full depth. We discuss the plan with you before you log off.
Continue care
Prescriptions go to your pharmacy, and follow-ups are scheduled to fit your life. If your situation ever calls for an in-person or hybrid approach, we will tell you.
Telehealth for people who face barriers to care
We offer telehealth services as an alternative for individuals and families who face barriers to care, such as work demands and school activities. Telepsychiatry also benefits people with special needs, older adults, those with no means of transportation, and anyone living far from an office. Our goal at Oasis of Hope is to reach everyone in need of help, including those who prefer to limit in-person contact because of complex health conditions.
Please feel free to call and book a telehealth or in-person appointment. We are at your service, and your mental wellbeing is our priority.
Telepsychiatry across Maryland
Our office is in Waldorf, MD, and our telepsychiatry reaches patients anywhere in the state. We see many patients across Southern Maryland, in Charles County, St. Mary's County, Calvert County, and Prince George's County, where the drive to an in-person office can be long. From those counties and the rest of Maryland, you join the same secure video visit and meet the same clinician.
To be clear about what we are and are not: Waldorf is our only physical office. We do not have a clinic in any other county. What we have is the ability to provide telepsychiatry statewide, so wherever you live in Maryland, you can receive evaluation, medication management, and therapy by secure video, with in-person care available at our Waldorf office when you want or need it.
Evening hours and what you need
Evening telehealth slots run from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm daily, so you can schedule around work or school without taking time off. To join a visit, you need:
- A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera
- A stable internet connection
- A quiet, private space where you can speak freely
- A modern browser, no app to install
The same depth of care, anywhere in Maryland
Telepsychiatry is not a lesser version of care. The evaluation, medication management, talk therapy, and the relationship with your clinician carry the same depth as an in-person appointment, a comprehensive evaluation still runs 60 to 90 minutes, and follow-ups run 20 to 30.
Wherever you are in the state, the standard does not change with the medium. And when a situation genuinely calls for in-person assessment or a mix of remote and office visits, we will recommend the in-person option rather than stretch telehealth past where it works.
